Prepare to get muddy...

McVitie's Jaffa Cakes Mud Madness, Sunday September 14, Foymore Lodge, Portadown

DUE to popular demand the McVitie's Jaffa Cakes Mud Madness race is back for a second time this year. Taking place on Sunday September 14 at Foymore Lodge in Portadown, competitors in this hilariously muck splattered event raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care as they run, crawl and belly-flop their way across four and half miles of bogs and ponds while navigating cargo nets, water sprays and muddy trenches. "2014 is the fifth year of Mud Madness," explains event organiser Johnny Davis. "1,000 people took part in the sold out event in April and afterwards we had so many people tell us they

would love to do it again this year. "Since we also had lots of disappointed people unable to secure a place, we decided to have a second event to give people the chance to take part in the ultimate off-road challenge."

To date, the Jaffa Cakes Mud Madness events have raised £100,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care, equating to 5,000 hours of home nursing for those with terminal illness.
