Book competition

SLEB Safari is giving away two books - A Burnable Book by Bruce Holsinger and Treachery by SJ Parris.

A Burnable Book (which is not a suggestion) is set in 1385 when England is ruled by the headstrong young king Richard II and features Geoffrey Chaucer and John Bower and their efforts to secure a lost book which plots the king's murder. Ooh er. Treachery also has an all-star line up with Sir Francis Drake and Queen Elizabeth in the author's fourth Giordano Bruno novel.

To enter answer the following:

What year did Elizabeth I ascend the throne?
