Concert for Jerusalem hospitals

Chris Nelson

ST PETER'S Cathedral in Belfast will host the Belfast Community Gospel Choir in a fundraising concert for two hospitals in Jerusalem and the West Bank on Friday February 28.

The event, which starts at 7.30pm, will be presented by The Venerable Order of St John (Commandery of Ards) and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (Ulster Region).

Both orders are working together on the night to raise money for the St

John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem and the Holy Family Maternity Hospital in Bethlehem. The former provides low-cost eye-care for all of the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem while the latter provides care for infants and women, without regard to religion or national origins, in Bethlehem.

The choir will perform classical gospel music as well as popular R and B and soul songs. n For details and tickets, contact Heather on 028 9079 9393 or see
