Pyscho comes to life

TOMORROW night will be something of a fright night at The Venue at Ebrington, when the Ulster Orchestra provides a live score to Hitchcock's 1960 classic Psycho.

The film starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh became a huge hit on its release, with much of its impact owing to the music by Bernard Herrmann.

Herrmann used only strings to create the hair-raising atmosphere - most memorably in the famous shower scene.

Tomorrow at 8pm the Ulster Orchestra and guest conductor Richard Kaufmann will bring the film to life at the Foyle Film Festival screening.

Psycho Live will also take place at The Waterfront in Belfast on Saturday at 7.45pm.
