Chocolate indulgence

LAST week I wrote about pairing wine with chocolate for National Chocolate Week, running until October 20. However, this week Baileys have gone a step further and launched its new chocolate cream liquer. Three years of rigorous experimenting, testing and re-testing have resulted in this perfected chocolate version of the drink. Top quality Belgian chocolate has been fused with the same Irish whiskey and cream to create Baileys Chocolat Luxe, a multi-sensory drinking experience matching that of eating a piece of chocolate.

Anthony Wilson, the scientist behind original Baileys, tasted over 200 types of chocolate before deciding to create his own bespoke variety of chocolate for the use in the new drink. Apparently it took 839 failed attempts before reaching the perfect solution for a 'luxe' liquid chocolate experience. Real luxury products have been used as part of this creation including Madagascan vanilla, and about 30g of real Belgian chocolate is used in every bottle. The fact that all ingredients were hand-picked and carefully chosen means that this drink is a chocolately luxury success. From the first sip, right through to the bitter cocoa after taste, Baileys Chocolat Luxe is a glass of liquid chocolate pleasure. Baileys Chocolate Luxe is available in shops this week - just in time for the Christmas party season.
