A HAUNTED HOUSE (15, 85 mins) Starring: Marlon Wayans, Marlene Forte and Essence Atkins Director: Michael Tiddes ACTOR Marlon Wayans, who has starred in and co-written a number of the Scary Movies, continues to lampoon the genre with this parody of Paranormal Activity, The Devil Inside and similar found footage horrors. Malcolm Johnson (Wayans) moves into a new home with his girlfriend Kisha (Essence Atkins), looking forward to their new life together. He asks Dan "the Man" Kearney (David Koechner) to install surveillance cameras around the home to prove to his friends that his sex life will not fizzle out now he and Kisha are co-habiting. Instead, the CCTV reveals the presence of a malevolent force in the house, which is clearly attracted to Kisha. Initially, Malcolm calls in gay psychic Chip (Nick Swardson) to make contact the spirit but Chip is more interested in getting his hands on Malcolm's body than using his powers. So the homeowner turns to trusted priest Father Doug Williams (Cedric The Entertainer) to cleanse the house and drive out the randy forces of evil.

Starring: Micsha Sadeghi, Shiraz Haq and Christian Coulson Director: Tina Gharavi TINA Gharavi directs this intimate drama about a young woman who is forced to move halfway around the world and realises this is just the start of her journey of self-discovery. Nasrine (Micsha Sadeghi) and her brother Ali (Shiraz Haq) hark from comfortable, middle-class surroundings in Iran, where they bow down to the wishes of their controlling father. When Nasrine has an unfortunate encounter with the police, her father reacts swiftly by ordering his daughter to relocate to the UK with Ali in tow. The children abide by their father's dictate and accept their fate, uncertain of what awaits them in the West. For Nasrine, this punishment turns out to be her liberation as she forges new friendships and makes her voice heard. However, Ali struggles to fit in, wrestling with his sexuality and the expectations of the people around him.
