RUSSELL Brand has announced a Belfast gig for November.
The line "He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy" from Monty Python's Life of Brian could have been written just for Brand and now the actor/comedian/writer is about to go on the road with his new show Messiah Complex.
He will play the Waterfront Hall in Belfast on Wednesday November 13, almost exactly four years since his last Belfast gig at the Odyssey in 2009.
In his show Brand will ponder whether Che Guevara, Gandhi, Malcolm X and Hitler had a messiah complex.
When he spoke to The Irish News in 2009 he insisted that stand-up remained his first love, despite also being known for film, TV presenting, writing and radio.
"If everything else goes wrong I'll always be able to earn £50 a night above pubs," he said.
