BANBRIDGE-based leisure vending equipment firm Clearhill has landed a £2.5m multi-year deal to instal kiddie rides, carousels and candy & toy carts into some of the UK's biggest and best known shopping centres.

The partnership is with Hammerson, who portfolio comprises 11 major shopping centres - including Birmingham’s Bullring - which together attract 150 million visitors each year.

Founded in 1992, Clearhill is the market leader in its field in Ireland and supplies more than 2,000 pieces of equipment to around 220 shopping centres across Ireland (where it already enjoys a 76 per cent market share) and Britain (where its market share is 35 per cent).

Clearhill’s commercial director Brian McAreavey said: “Shopping centres today are faced with the challenge of entertaining and engaging their customers to maintain footfall and stave off competition from both off and online trade.

"That’s where we excel, helping provide customers with an enhanced experience through retail entertainment.

"So to secure such a prestigious partnership with Hammerson is a great demonstration of Clearhill’s ability to design, build and deliver quality leisure vending products.”
