IRISH sportswear group O'Neills has opened a new store in Omagh creating 25 jobs.

The Strabane-based manufacturer, which is synonymous with the GAA, has opened its ninth retail outlet in a unit next to the Asda complex on the town’s Dromore Road.

It comes just two years after O’Neills opened a new £1 million flagship store on Belfast’s Royal Avenue.

In a statement, O’Neills said: “We are delighted to open our second retail store in County Tyrone and reaffirm our commitment to the area. We look forward to welcoming our customers into our new Omagh store.

“Our new store allows us to ensure that we offer our customers the products they demand in a vibrant and friendly store environment.

"This investment complements our strong online presence via oneills.com and supports the confidence in our innovative brand and product range.”
