THE Irish News will join with the Institute of Directors (IoD) as official media partner for one of Northern Ireland’s most highly anticipated business events – the IoD Women’s Leadership Conference.

This year’s conference will once again unite a community of inspiring and innovative leaders for two online events, sponsored by Herbert Smith Freehills, on March 9 & 11.

Hundreds of delegates are expected to attend the event, now in its 15th year, which is open to women and men - as well as IoD non-members.

Chelsea Brennan, senior branch manager at IoD NI said: “Our annual Women’s Leadership Conference is one of the IoD’s most significant events and we are so pleased to welcome The Irish News as our official media partner.

“As always, this year’s conference will feature numerous inspiring women who are each contributing to real and innovative change within their respective areas.”

“We have many successful female business leaders right here in Northern Ireland who have proven themselves outstanding both locally and globally, and we hope to welcome many of them to our 2022 Women’s Leadership Conference for what will undoubtedly be an insightful and enjoyable event.”

A number of high-profile, influential keynote speakers have been confirmed for the 2022 event, including world-renowned ethologist and activist Dr Jane Goodall DBE; Dame Inga Beale, Lloyds of London’s first female CEO; Khalida Popal, former Afghanistan women’s football captain; Bernadette Collins, head of race strategy for the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team; and NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow Dr Caoimhe Rooney.

The conference theme will take inspiration from the Eleanor Roosevelt quote “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”.

Irish News group marketing & communications manager Annette Small said: “Promoting the contributions of women is extremely important to us and with this is mind, we are thrilled to partner with the Institute of Directors for the 2022 Women’s Leadership Conference event.

“We are really looking forward to this year’s conference and hope to gain some valuable insight from what is without doubt a stellar line up of speakers.”
