Belfast-based home improvement retailer Homefit is expanding its workforce and opening a new store as part of a £750,000 investment.

Due to open in May, the 3,200 showroom on the Boucher Road will be the company’s third branch, with sites also in Hannahstown and Lanark Way, and will create 10 jobs.

Established in 1989, the family-run business specialises in bathrooms, kitchens, landscaping and gardening, with a reputation for quality products at affordable prices.

Director John Kelly said: “This has been a challenging time for many businesses and we count ourselves fortunate to be in the position to evolve and expand as we look to the future.

“Boucher Road is a prime location and will allow us to showcase our products to an even wider market.

“This past 12 months have taught us all to value our homes that little bit more and we’re proud to have been able to support the local community during this time.”

John added: “We have ambitious plans to grow the business. The new branch will provide us with the space we need for our ever-expanding offering and help us to reach a new customer base.

“Our staff have been instrumental to our success and I’m looking forward to growing the team and supporting the local economy with the creation of these new roles.”
