Shoe-stopping brand Dune sets first foot in the Boulevard

ONE of Europe’s most recognisable footwear brands Dune London is to open a store at the Boulevard in Banbridge in time for Christmas.

It's arrival comes on the back of other big brand names setting up shop there since the Boulevard reopened after lockdown in June, joining Molton Brown and Joules.

And since reopening, there has also been significant leasing activity at the centre, with 32,000 sq ft of retail space secured with existing tenants for at least the next five years.

Zoe Brookes, retail director at Dune London, which offers both men and women’s footwear and accessories, said: “We're excited to be opening in The Boulevard, our first outlet in Northern Ireland.

“The centre has everything we need to build our brand and reach both our loyal and potential new customers due to the centre’s fantastic location.”

The Boulevard is home to 50 premium brands across the womenswear, menswear, homeware and sports categories such as Nike, Adidas, Levi’s, Jack and Jones Junior, Jack Wills and Crew Clothing.

The destination's retail director Chris Nelmes said: “Dune London is the perfect addition to our mix of retail tenants and will be greatly anticipated by our loyal customers.

“Despite the uncertain times we find ourselves in, the Boulevard has come back from lockdown bigger and better than ever, and we are fortunate to have been on a positive sales trajectory that hasn’t shown any signs of stopping.

“The fact we’re an outdoor scheme coupled with the investment we made in our reopening strategy has meant consumers are confident to visit, shop and most importantly return again.”
