Women in Business, the north’s largest and fastest growing business network for female entrepreneurs and business leaders, has launched a new Young Women’s Network (YWN) in partnership with Ulster Bank.

Available to 18-to 25-year-olds, and with an annual membership fee of just £20, the unique network will provide an exclusive platform for young females to come together to encourage, educate and evolve.

Clare Gallagher, head of membership at Women in Business, said: “We want to support young women to connect, grow their network, reach their full potential and to achieve all their ambitions.

“These under 25s are critical to the future economic development of our economy. Empowering them to establish and grow their careers or set up their own business is part of the solution.”

Joanne Wilson, customer experience lead at Ulster Bank, added: “We recognise the value in having access to strong mentorship and guidance throughout all stages of your career, but this can be especially important for graduates and new-recruits.

“Working with the Young Women’s Network allows our colleagues to pass on their expert skills and advice and pave the way for the next generation of female business leaders to thrive.

“Supporting female entrepreneurship is a key priority for our teams across the business and we have introduced a series of measures to support women and their businesses through our Entrepreneur Accelerator Programme and the Back Her Business initiative.”

Marguarita McNally (23), membership executive at Women in Business and Francesca Morelli (23), co-founder at VAVA Influence, will lead on the initiative and look forward to welcoming new YWN members.

Francesca said: “This network offers phenomenal support for young women and it's brilliant to have that experience, guidance and mentorship only an email intro away.”

Young Women’s Network members will be able to avail of all WIBNI membership and will gain additional benefits from exclusive events and programmes, from invaluable mentoring opportunities to a seat at the YWN committee table.
