A SUBSIDIARY company of south Derry construction giant Henry Group has been awarded a £1.5 million contract to supply enhanced curtain walling for a major client in Canada.

The win by Windell Ltd in Magherafelt, a leading company in high security glazing worldwide, follows a lengthy design and tender process over the last two years

The firm's managing director Ian Henry said: “We are delighted to now be able to proceed to the design and manufacture stage on this project, and we look forward to working with our client to fulfil this contract.

“Windell has the knowledge and experience in glazing and protection solutions that enable us to deliver a unique, unrivalled service to our clients in the security sector.

“We are in the fortunate position, during this period of shutdown, to have our in-house design team continuing their excellent work from home and this enables us to continue to deliver on key dates within the programme.”

In its last published set of accounts, the Henry Group made a profit of £2.5m on a turnover of £88.5m, and had a cash reserve in hand of £31m.
