THERE should be no more internet black-holes or call drop-outs for business and leisure guests at the La Mon Hotel & Country Club.

It follows a £2 million investment in telecommunications and unlimited super fast fibre broadband upgrade undertaken by the north’s largest independent telecoms provider Rainbow Communications.

Geoffrey Weir, managing director at the 120-bed four-star hotel, conference venue and country club, which as 190 staff, said the latest investment complemented a wider transformation which has propelled demand in all areas.

“La Mon is already a compelling visitor destination set in a unique and beautiful environment, and with a significant business, events and banqueting provision that accommodates thousands of guests every year, digital connectivity is vital.

“Having worked closely and collaboratively with Rainbow over the past decade, we’re delighted with the technology solutions they’ve brought and with the transformation which this investment has achieved.”

Stuart Carson, sales and marketing director at Rainbow Communications, said: “The La Mon is an outstanding venue with a new, best-in-class technology provision which will underpin its continued attractiveness.

“We're delighted to have been appointed to design and instal a range of wireless technology solutions which means guests can confidently connect, communicate and present across a range of platforms in traditional or new, interactive ways.

“Our work complements and completes a stellar refurbishment programme which already makes La Mon an unrivalled destination for everyone to enjoy.”

As part of the technology upgrade, the venue now also benefits from a hosted phone system, dedicated leased line and a new, expanded network of wi-fi points to ensure consistent reliable connectivity.
