THE UK’s largest independent travel agent Hays has launched a process to recruit 699 apprentice travel consultants in its branches across the UK.

They will join an award-winning apprenticeship scheme, with a guaranteed job offered on successful completion and also gain recognised qualifications and earn a wage at the same time as developing the skills needed to build a successful career.

The company, which since 2015 has taken on 860 apprentices, was awarded the Investors in People Apprentice Employer of the Year title and was in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For last year, when it achieved sales of more than £1 billion.

For the first time, Hays Travel is recruiting in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, as well as all over England, following the takeover of the former Thomas Cook stores three months ago.

The recruitment process consists of a simple online application at www.careers.haystravel.co.uk/apprenticeships/apply
