ONE of the longest established retailers in west Belfast's Kennedy Centre has unveiled a new visual identity, an updated in-store look and has been re-named following a £120,000 investment and the creation of two new jobs.

ONA Jewellers - which was previously known as Tick Doc Jewellers - is owned by husband and wife Liam and Oonagh McGranaghan and stocks a wide selection of designer names including Armani, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger and Thomas Sabo.

Liam said: “When we opened 27 years ago, we were a jewellery and watch repair shop, but the business has evolved massively during this time to offer an extensive jewellery and watch portfolio and we felt that it is the right time to reflect this.

“We've gone back to our roots and reintroduced the name ONA Jewellers, which people might remember as the store we previously owned on the Lisburn Road.

“We've been planning the new concept for a number of years and enhancing our customers experience was always at the centre of what we wanted to achieve. It's important that while updating our image, our customers know they will still get the same excellent customer service and choice they have come to expect from us.”

His wife Oonagh added: “We have introduced a host of new brands including Ania Haie and Sara Miller and extended the lines we already offer to include a bigger selection of diamond rings.

“In addition to servicing our loyal customer base, we hope the rebrand will help build awareness of ONA Jewellers and ultimately increase our footfall.”

The investment has included a complete overhaul of the store which now boasts a state-of-the-art energy efficient lighting system that will help reduce energy consumption, cutting edge engraving machinery, brand new cabinets and a bespoke extended window fit out.
