SAINTFIELD-based funeral directors Norman McBriar & Son, has expanded into a new premises.
The independent firm has invested almost half-million-pounds in the relocation to new larger building at Saintfield Mill.
The move by the family-run business has been backed by Ulster Bank. The new premises has added four family viewing rooms and a non-denominational service room for private memorials.
Set up just over 20 years ago, Norman Briar has now been joined in the business by his son Mark and daughter Donna Spiers.
Mark said the investment and support from Ulster Bank was important to help the family business continue to grow.
“Having been established now for almost two decades, the business is at a stage where it requires more fitting and substantial premises to continue to grow,” he said.
“Fewer people are opting for church services. In response to this we’ve also introduced a dedicated service room for families without church connections.”
