THE north's first double storey McDonald’s restaurant with dual lane drive-thru lanes, has opened close to Belfast City Airport.

The new outlet at Knocknagoney is the fast food giant's 30th in the north, creating a total of 65 jobs.

McDonald's now employs over 2,500 people here.

The restaurant , which will operate from 6am to midnight, will be able to seat 156 people and offers mobile ordering.

Franchisee of the new outlet, Des Lamph said: “The Knocknagoney restaurant is in a prime position close to the airport offering an accessible meeting point for both business and leisure visitors to Northern Ireland."
