FOOD delivery service Deliveroo has said it now employs 15 people in Derry, one year after its move to the north-west.

The company said that 20 restaurants in Derry had now signed up for the online platform. Deliveroo said that 60 per cent of the eateries were independently owned businesses.

Deliveroo regional director Harison Foster said: “After one year in Derry our team is delighted that with our steady growth and visibility in the city, customers have more choice, local restaurants are able to increase their revenue and riders have the opportunity to choose well-paid and flexible work.

“Customers have the option to schedule orders via the Deliveroo app up to one day in advance or receive food as soon as possible between noon and 11pm from a variety of leading local, independent and best-loved chain restaurants, conveniently delivered to their homes and offices,” he added.
