A NEW Centra store in Belfast city centre has created 15 jobs.

The shop at River House on High Street opened yesterday morning following a £400,000 investment.

The new store, on the ground floor of the 13-storey building, includes hot and cold deli options and salad bar Green Kitchen.

It also has a Frank and Honest coffee dock, featuring compostable coffee cups, and a seating area with free USB charging ports and wifi.

The shop also has self service tills for shoppers on busy schedules.

Nigel Maxwell, sales director of Centra Northern Ireland, said the company was continuing to expand in Belfast city centre.

"Our focus is on redefining convenience – providing our shoppers with a healthier offering and innovative ranges, particularly in food-to-go and our Frank and Honest coffee brand," he said.

"Centra River House is the latest example of our stores responding to the changing needs of the busy consumer and we wish Donagh and his team every success."

River House is the fourth Centra store owned by businessman Donagh McGoveran.

He also owns shops in Stranmillis, Malone Road and Donegall Street.

"We are proud to be opening the doors of River House and look forward to welcoming customers and providing them with a one-stop shop for modern convenience," he said.
