A LISBURN-based technology firm has won four prestigious London property contracts worth in excess of £10 million.

OKTO Technologies has secured new business to develop and deliver its bespoke ‘smart building technologies’ to residential developments currently under construction in London’s West End.

Worth in excess of £10.5m, the contracts put OKTO on track to reach its £70m turnover target and triple its workforce, by 2025.

Awarded by some of the world’s top property developers, the new contracts will result in OKTO’s specialist BMS (Building Management System) technologies seamlessly controlling the environmental and lifestyle systems in the ultra-luxury residences - which sell for up to £100m each.

This includes everything from lighting and climate to IT systems and, according to the company, will ultimately appear as if the home has a virtual ‘butler’, which thinks and acts on behalf of its occupier.

The contracts are for 25 new apartments and penthouses at The Peninsula Hotel & Residences, 23 apartments at Mayfair Park Residences, serviced and managed as part of the Dorchester Hotel, as well as an extensive triplex penthouse overlooking Hyde Park.

OKTO has also been appointed by the CPC Group, owned by property developer Christian Candy, to deliver its full suite of building technology systems to Duke’s Lodge, the largest new residential development in Holland Park.

Once completed, residents will count Simon Cowell, the Beckhams and Elton John amongst their new neighbours.

OKTO owner, Philip Dowds described the new contract wins as "highly significant" for the business, reflecting the "unique nature of the technologies we’re developing and the solutions we’re delivering".

"Our team of experts in Northern Ireland have successfully harnessed Artificial Intelligence and developed Building Management Systems which meet the needs of the world’s top property developers. As such we’ve earned our reputation as industry pioneers," he added.
