Reilly's Bar to go under the hammer

The main bar area at O'Reilly's in Ballyconnell

A PRIME bar business overlooking the Shannon Erne waterway in Co Cavan is set to go under the hammer at a public auction on the premises on Saturday May 4 at 5pm.

Reilly's Bar in Ballyconnell's main street, which has a seven-day license and a late disco bar license, is being sold as a going concern by its owners Martin and Anne Reilly.

The couple saw the potential in the empty building three years ago and made a significant investment to completely renovate the premises to an exceptional standard and built up a thriving business, with a view to selling on once well established.

Notable features include the main bar in olde-world style with open fireplace, while an extensive lounge/disco area opens on to large secure beer garden suitable for further development, overlooking the waters of the Woodford Canal.

Upstairs the living area includes four large bedrooms (two en-suite) with new kitchen, bathroom, independent entrance and solid wood floors throughout.

The auctioneers have put a minimum market value of €300,000 on the premises, and the booming business is expected to attract keen interest from across Ireland.

Enquiries should go to auctioneer Eamon Reilly (00353 494331599) or Martin Reilly (00353 868265051).
