A WATERFRONT Belfast development site with planning permission for two new hotels has been put on the market.

Plater's Yard, in the heart of the Titanic Quarter, adjacent to Titanic Belfast is now for sale and strong interest is expected in the 1.77-acre site.

The land is located within the Titanic Quarter's phase two outline planning permission area and has full planning approval for multi-million pound development.

This includes two hotels totalling 270 bedrooms, 152 apartments, as well as 12 commercial units and 382 underground car parking spaces.

Titanic Quarter commercial director, James Eyre said Plater's Yard represents an "excellent opportunity" for developers to participate in the successful regeneration of the area.

"During the past decade over £425 million has been invested in Titanic Quarter, which is now home to over 100 national and international organisations. 20,000 people work, live and study here daily, while over one million people visit Titanic Quarter every year," she said.

David Wright, director of CBRE, the agents responsible for marketing the site, added:

"Just a short 10 minute walk from Belfast city centre, the site has a prime development location and presents the opportunity for a unique residential and hotel development with panoramic waterfront views.

“Plater's Yard will be a further asset to Belfast's business, conference, leisure, residential and heritage tourism growth.”
