CO Derry-based manufacturer Bloc Blinds has unveiled a new franchise offering in response to growing customer demand.

The franchise will work alongside the company's existing design studio in Magherafelt and its retail focused flagship store on the Lisburn Road in Belfast.

As part of a focused growth strategy by the company, the latest business venture will allow Bloc Blinds to take its design studio on the road - providing in-home consultations - in addition to a professional measure and fit service, which will operate across Northern Ireland.

Bloc Blinds design studio manager, Paul Diamond said the expansion is a response to the latest consumer insights and market trends. He believes it will help the company remain at the forefront of the industry.

“We view this latest brand extension as an important step in the growth and development of the business. The shopping habits of today’s consumers are constantly evolving, and we wanted to provide our shoppers with a memorable, bespoke experience – not only affordable but accessible too. Which we’ve seen from our research is something consumers increasingly desire," Mr Diamond said.

“Bloc Blind’s reputation is built on innovation, our people and the quality and service they deliver, and we are committed to maintaining our position as a market leader," he added.

Last month the manufacturer reached a significant manufacturing milestone, with the company producing its one millionth blind.

The milestone follows significant business development in recent years, which has included a £4 million capital investment at its manufacturing headquarters in Magherafelt.

Bloc Blinds employs more than100 staff and last year opened a new retail focused design studio on the Lisburn Road, Belfast.
