THE 41-bed Ailsa Lodge at Killaire Avenue in Bangor, the latest care home to be acquired by Conway Group Healthcare, has been officially declared open by Ards & North Down Council mayor Richard Smart.

It was acquired in May by Conway and is one of eight care homes now owned and operated by the group across Northern Ireland.

Therese Conway, director of Conway Group Healthcare, said: "We're proud to have a beautiful building that our residents can call home, where we provide a dedicated team of professionals who deliver outstanding levels of care and understanding.

"This home not only provides the highest standards of care for those who need it, but it helps family structures to remain intact by ensuring residents can continue to live close to their loved ones while benefitting from excellent care.

"Some of our staff have been working at Ailsa Lodge for 20 years. Their commitment and dedication is second to none, helping create a ‘home from home’ environment for residents.

"But we are currently looking to expand our team with care and nursing staff, so if you feel that you've the right skills and you're keen to tend to the needs of others please get in touch."
