SUPERMARKET retailer, Asda has cut 3p per litre off unleaded and diesel from its national price cap.

As a result of a further decrease in the wholesale cost, the The retailer’s new national fuel price cap means that drivers across the UK will pay no more than 119.7ppl on unleaded and 131.7ppl on diesel.

Asda has now dropped the price of unleaded fuel by up to 8ppl since the start of the month.

Asda's senior fuel buyer, Dave Tyrer, said: "Further decreases in the wholesale market mean we are able to reduce our prices again, seeing our unleaded price dropped by up to 8ppl in just under two weeks.”

Asda has ten forecourts in Northern Ireland located in: Ballyclare, Bangor, Coleraine, Cookstown, Downpatrick, Enniskillen, Newtownards, Omagh, Portadown and Strabane.
