FINALISTS in this year's Women in Business Awards - which take place in the Crowne Plaza on Thursday November 8 - have attended a retreat at Virgin Media Television in Dublin for a day of networking and inspirational seminars.

Forty one outstanding women enjoyed sessions with 2018 VOOM winner Tracey Jane Cassidy, chief executive at Junior Einsteins, and an interactive workshop with Virgin Media TV news anchor Colette Fitzpatrick.

Tracey Jane shared her experience as founder of Junior Einsteins, a prize-winning programme which encourages children to get into STEM subjects through hands-on interactive experiments and amazing science events.

She shared her ambitions of building Junior Einsteins into a global franchise business from Ireland and encouraged finalists to continue to strive to reach their business goals through collaboration and determination. Ms Fitzpatrick gave insights into her role and the industry, and included many practical interview tips.

The finalists also enjoyed a networking drinks reception with Dublin business women hosted by Women in Business partner Glandore at their luxurious offices at No.25 Fitzwilliam Place.

Women in Business (www.womeninbusinessni.com) chief executive Roseann Kelly said: “Each year we are blown away with the number of top-class entries for our awards, and this year was no exception as we received an incredible response with over 160 outstanding submissions.

“The finalists’ retreat is designed to ensure our top talent meet each other, make connections, share their experiences and gain inspiration from other high achieving business women. It was a privilege to meet such a diverse range of talented individuals from a wide cross section of Northern Ireland’s economy.”
