FORMER Miss Great Britain Gemma Garrett has gone from beauty queen to businesswoman following the launch of a new online retail venture Buella Life.

The company is an online third-party distribution platform sourcing best-in-class luxury brands and wellbeing products which adhere to a common set of ethical and humane values.

Personally curated by Gemma, BuellaLife ( ensures that not only does the consumer get access to often hard-to-source products, but can do so at a considerable saving against recommended retail prices.

"Effectively this whole new business venture evolved out of my blog, but it is unique in that every product I stock has been personally hand-picked and is tried and tested from an ethical viewpoint," she said.

"The range will include the likes of Blossom Hill's Manuka Honey, award-winning wine from the Peccavi vineyard in Western Australia, Lumity skincare products, and men's products from the likes of the Pankhurst barbershop collection in London."

Buella Life was formally launched at a event in Belfast's Merchant Hotel attended by leading figures from the health, wellness and lifestyle world, including former Miss World Rosanna Davison, Irish and Ulster rugby star Jordi Murphy, leading PR man Keith Bishop, former X Factor finalist Eoghan Quigg, and a host of local TV and media personalities.

Gemma added: “I'm delighted to be hosting a number of my key brand partners in Belfast including Richard Emanuel, chief executive of Lumity, Mark Allport from Blossom Hill and Jeremy Muller of Peccavi.

“We believe we are delivering something unique in the online space by personally curating a range we believe in and by virtue of the deals we are able to source can ensure considerable savings are passed through to the customer.”

After winning Miss Great Britain in 2008, Gemma became the face of the British Grand Prix and Newcastle United Football Club, as well as posing as Sienna Miller's body double in hit movie Layer Cake. She subsequently also appeared alongside Danny Dyer and Martin and Gary Kemp in Assassin in 2015.
