A LISBURN-based construction industry distributor has been acquired by one of its English business partners.

Adcrete Ltd has been taken over by Bradford-based concrete admixtures specialist Oscrete for an undisclosed sum.

Adcrete is the sole distributor of Oscrete products in Ireland and Northern Ireland and since its set up in 2016, has established a reputation for providing innovation, experience and first-class partnering to the precast concrete, ready-mix and ready-to-use mortar industries.

The purchase, which sees Oscrete secure the majority share of the company, will allow the additives specialist to further develop its activities in Ireland where it is building a strong presence.

Adcrete director, Gus Vaughan said: “I am confident that this amalgamation will lead to accelerated growth for all stakeholders. We look forward to a strong and successful future together.”

Oscrete operations director, Scott Wilson added:

“The addition of Adcrete to Oscrete’s enterprise offering demonstrates the commitment we have to grow our business in Ireland.

“It is an excellent strategic fit for us and a natural progression that will build on the already strong relationship we have with the Adcrete team.”

Adcrete distributes an extensive range of high performance admixtures to clients across the concrete industry all over Ireland. Oscrete, part of the Christyens UK group of companies, has seen a double digit increase in its turnover for the past six years and is one of the UK's leading specialist construction chemical suppliers.
