A COALISLAND architectural and civil engineering consultancy and a building and civil engineering contractor based in Clonoe - McKeown & Shields and O’Neill respectively - have been appointed by car dealership the Donnelly Group to build its new £6 million Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Dungannon.
Their appointment follows a competitive tender process, and the contractors have now started work on 50,000 sq ft building due to open later this year, creating a number of jobs and being the first and only premium brand outlet anywhere in Mid-Ulster.
The showroom will have space for 16 new show cars and 75 used Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, and is the latest significant investment by the Donnelly Group, the largest family-owned new and used vehicle dealership in the north, selling 18,000 vehicles a year and employing more than 700 people.
Managing director Dave Sheeran said: “Jaguar Land Rover has a clear vision for its luxury brand and its high-performance vehicles, and it is essential the showroom environment reflects this whilst creating an enjoyable experience for customers.
“The contemporary Dungannon showroom will feature the new Jaguar Land Rover 'Arch' concept which seamlessly brings both brands together under one roof in a modern, bright, spacious, ambient setting.
“We are delighted to partner with two local companies to carry out the building works and look forward to working with them on this exciting project.”
