A CO Derry car dealership has opened a new £750,000 showroom, creating four jobs.

JC Halliday & Sons has unveiled the north's only DS store at its Eglinton site. The DS brand split from Citroen in 2014 and is recognisable by its distinctive styling and luxurious interiors.

Founded in 1967, JC Halliday & Sons employs 28 staff across two sites in Eglinton and Magherafelt.

JC Halliday & Sons partner, Andrew Miller described the opening of the new DS store is a "great moment" for the business.

"Our DS store has a very different feel to a traditional car showroom with premium space for displays and attention-to-detail features that gives customers a truly unique car buying experience."

“We take the customer on an immersive journey that starts with a high-definition, life-sized 3D DS Virtual Reality experience where customers can experience what it is like to drive a DS car. This environment raises the bar of customer experience to a new level," he said.

The major investment has been supported by Danske Bank and business manager Lisa McKenna added:
