Cathal Geoghegan, managing director of Mount Charles

OUTSOURCING firm Mount Charles, which provides foodservice, cleaning, security and vending services, has secured a new contract with the Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service, effective from April 1.

Worth £1.25m over a two-year period, the contract will see the outsourcing giant provide cleaning services to all 40 NICTS sites.

Having announced £37m in contract wins during 2017, representing an 18 per cent boost to turnover, Mount Charles continues to experience significant growth.

Managing director Cathal Geoghegan said: “We are delighted to acquire the Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service as the latest partner within our cleaning division and look forward to providing each of their sites with our signature professional service.

“This contract is another step on our ‘Road to £50m' strategy in which we have committed to achieve revenue of £50m by 2020.

"Other recent wins with NI Ambulance Service, Terex, CAFRE and Northern Regional College mean that we are firmly on track to meet that target."

He added: “We have started 2018 as we mean to go on. Our vision is to be both a business partner and employer of choice throughout Ireland and the UK, based on the delivery of the highest standard of service and, with continued high levels of engagement and effort from our growing employee base, we are confident we are.”

The latest contract win follows a recent announcement from the 2017 Deloitte Best Managed Company, of five new contracts worth over €8m in the Republic of Ireland market.
