SOUTH Derry-based paving and walling manufacturer Tobermore has signed a partnership with Ulster Rugby in which its logo will appear on the players' shorts between now and to April 2019.

The company will also promote the association with a range of activities throughout the sponsorship period, including a competition to win an all-expenses paid trip to the European Rugby Champions Cup final in Bilbao in May (details at www.tobermore.co.uk/bethere).

Tobermore managing director David Henderson said: "We're delighted to be sponsoring Ulster Rugby and avidly follow their progress through thick and thin. The team attracts the interest and loyal support of so many local people, making it an ideal match for Tobermore’s profile.

"As a progressive producer of domestic and commercial paving and walling with rugby loving customers around the UK and Ireland who follow the same tournaments, it makes great sense for Tobermore to align itself closer to the sport."

Fiona Hampton, head of sales and marketing at Ulster Rugby, said: ‘"There is a lot of synergy between our organisations as Tobermore share in our values, ambitions and love of rugby. We are both long-established home-grown brands with a desire to be the best in our sectors. This will be a mutually beneficial partnership that will go from strength to strength."
