SPORTSWEAR brand O'Neill's is the latest tenant set to move into Marlborough Retail Park in Craigavon, creating 30 jobs.

O'Neill's will join multi-national retailer Marks & Spencer, which announced in September that it is opening a ‘Simply Food’ store at the former B&Q store.

Built by Turkington Developments, the former 80,000 sq ft B&Q site has drawn interest from a wide range of potential tenants ahead of the opening later this year.

The M&S store, which is set to create around 80 jobs, is on track for a grand opening in September along with O’Neills’ 14,000 sq ft store, which is due to open around the same time.

Stephen Thompson from O'Neill's Sports said the company is proud to open in one of the north's "most vibrant and dynamic shopping towns".

“The store will breathe energy, heritage, authenticity and originality, showcasing how far the brand has evolved during its 100-year history."

O’Neills, which has its manufacturing base in Strabane, currently employs over 600 people across the north.

Commercial property agencies CBRE and DTZ McCombe Pierce are acting on behalf of the landlord on the leasing of the scheme, whilst Murphy Surveyors acted for O’Neills.

Alana Coyle, director at CBRE added: “Following the announcement of Marks & Spencer as the first tenant at Marlborough Retail Park, we are pleased to secure the letting of another high calibre occupier in O’Neills. We are confident that these leading retailers will act as a major catalyst in attracting continued future investment and generating further development at the retail park.”
