MARKS & Spencer has opened its new 30,000 sq ft store at the Quays Shopping Centre in Newry.

The new store has created 23 jobs in addition to the 110 current M&S staff that have relocated from the existing Newry store.

The store brings customers a modern shopping experience with an extensive range of M&S’s clothing. Increased space has also created wider customer choice in the foodhall. Other highlights include a 58-seater M&S Café and a new in-store bakery.

Speaking at yesterday's official opening, M&S Newry store manager, Siobhan Ruck said:

“Today’s opening has been a great success and we are delighted to welcome customers into the store for the first time. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and their positive comments today have made all the hard work preparing for opening day worthwhile.”
