FACILITIES solutions provider ABM has swept up a £1 million contract to supply Belfast's largest shopping centre Victoria Square with more than 50 members of staff covering security, cleaning, customer services and environmental over the next three years.

And one of the roles will even see ABM staff acting as tour guides in Victoria Square's glass dome, which boasts 360-degree views across Belfast, where they will be responsible for informing tourists about the city's major landmarks and rich history. They will be introduced to mark the centre's 10th anniversary.

ABM's Ireland regional manager Kyle Russell said: “We're delighted to be working with Northern Ireland's most exclusive shopping centre. Having grown up in Belfast, I remember it being built, opening in March 2008 and evolving into what it is today: an iconic part of the city's landscape.

"ABM continues to establish itself in the area and Victoria Square is a fantastic addition to the company's retail portfolio. It's also a key account win, which our team has secured just three months after being appointed to manage the cleaning and security operations at another local retail complex, Bloomfield in Bangor.

“These wins ultimately demonstrate the company's dominance within the retail market across the UK, and we look forward to more successes in the future."

Victoria Square manager Michelle Greeves said: "We were seeking a company with the necessary credentials and vision to ensure we continue to deliver the high standards we have become known for, and ABM’s solid reputation in the retail space stood out for us."
