BELFAST-based recruitment specialists Keenan Healthcare is extending its business reach.

The award-winning agency, founded by Aideen Duggan in 2013, has carved a niche in health and social care recruitment.

Here, it sources temporary qualified social workers, allied health professionals and healthcare support workers for all five NHS trusts in the north.

But on the back of a record-breaking last 12 months, in which Keenan has turned over £2.3 million, doubled office space and increased private business by 70 per cent, it is casting its net beyond pure healthcare, though will still operate in the broader health sphere.

"It's been a phenomenal period of growth for us, and we're extending our service into wider fields within the health sector like human resources, administration, IT and finance," said Ms Duggan.

"With this in mind, we're holding an open day on Wednesday December 6 from 10am to 4pm at our Premier Business Centre headquarters in Adelaide Street.

"That, we hope, will allow us to significantly enhance our people base, get those job-seekers registered and checked, and then hit the ground running in January."

She added: "Since our inception, we've grown at an accelerated rate and have expanded our reputation for an unbeatable service and unrivalled customer experience to healthcare professionals.

"This is an exciting time for the business, where the satisfaction of our clients and candidates has been the greatest hallmark of our success."

Keenan Healthcare claims to have a two-thirds market share of NHS business in the north, sourcing the likes of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, radiographers, dieticians and biomedical scientists.

In the last 12 months it has reported a 50 per cent increase in recruiting consultants (smashing its target of 25 per cent) and has enjoyed a 70 per cent increase in temporary positions and 30 per cent rise in permanent posts.

"We place 45 candidates every day, complete 80 interviews a month and receive around 120 CVs monthly, but these are targets we expect to beat going into 2018," Ms Duggan added.
