BUDGET airline Ryanair will launch a new twice-weekly route to Malta from Belfast next summer and confirmed its suspended London service will be re-instated in March from Stansted.

Announcing its summer 2018 schedule the airline has said 14 routes will operate from Belfast International Aiport, including the new Malta service and the traditional sun destinations. Other routes include Milan, Berlin and London.

Last month the airline announced it was suspending its service to London Gatwick route from November until March due to its flights cancellation fiasco, but yesterday Ryanair confirmed the new London Stansted service would be in operation earlier than expected, from March 1.

Ryanair’s David O’Brien said:

“We are pleased to launch our Belfast summer 2018 schedule, with 14 routes in total including a new summer route to Malta and the return of our Belfast-London service."
