A PRIME residential development site at Red Barns Road in Dundalk, extending to around 5.35 acres (2.2 hectares), has gone on sale by private treaty with a guide price of €800,000 (just over £700,000).

Zoned “Residential 1” in the current Dundalk & Environs Development plan, it is the last remaining site appointed for residential development on the Red Barns Road.

And given the recent unprecedented demand for new residential property in the area - from starter homes through to larger family dwellings - the sale of the site provides an unique opportunity for developers, north and south.

"The Red Barns Road is one of Dundalk’s most sought after residential addresses, with a proven and consistently strong sales record," according to Michael Gunne of selling agents REA Gunne Property (www.reagunneproperty.ie).

"Although located in an urban area, the site enjoys an element of a rural setting, enjoying uninterrupted views of the Mourne Mountains as the lands directly opposite are all in agricultural use due to their restrictive development zoning which only permits for strategic leisure.”

Whilst a relatively private and quiet location, the Red Barns Road site is in close proximity to Dundalk’s inner relief road, providing easy access to the town centre, M1 motorway, Dundalk retail park, IDA Business Park, Xerox Business & Technology Park and Dundalk Institute of Technology.

Viewing is by appointment via the agents at 18 Clanbrassil Street, Dundalk, or by emailing m.gunne@reagunneproperty.ie
