A PORTSTEWART tech firm has confirmed it is to start recruitment for 15 new staff on the on the back of securing £1 million from US investors.

Marketing automation software company Zymplify has said it is to commence its expansion immediately and begin recruitment "as quickly as possible".

The knowledge based positions are focused on enhancing the customer support, marketing and software development areas, attracting business from all over Ireland and the rest of Europe.

Back in June the company, founded in 2013, secured £1 million from private investors John Campbell and Steve Lesser from Boston. The pair identified the potential of Zymplify and made the investment based on their extensive knowledge and experience in the industry.

Both Steve and John were the original investors in ‘Constant Contact’, a Boston based email marketing company which was purchased for $1.1bn.

CEO of Zymplify, Michael Carlin said he hoped to fill the new positions "within the next couple of months".

"Zymplify has already secured a very talented team of staff, many of which are graduates and from the north coast, but we are ready for expansion and opening new positions and opportunities which range in qualifications and expertise. We believe these new knowledge based jobs are the first of many."

Mr Lessor said he was excited about the potential of the local business.

“We are very excited about the combination of the feature rich platform along with the high-quality skillset of the Northern Ireland workforce. It shouldn’t be too long before we are able to fill these new positions and continue Zymplify’s development.”
