A popular Lisburn pub has announced further investment plans that could create an additional 15 jobs.

The Cardan, formerly known as The Robin's Nest, has previously undergone a £400,000 makeover, rejuvenating it into a modern hub for locals and earlier this year an additional £100,000 was invested at the venue as part of the complete overhaul.

Now the owner Jon Poots has announced further investment plans that could potentially create a further 10 to 15 local jobs.

"The Cardan has been a local treasure for years now, but I knew now was the time to breathe new life into it," he said.

“We hope to invest further in 2018 and announce these plans soon, but for now we’re delighted to offer the locals somewhere to begin and end their night out.”

The renovation has allowed for a new range of menus to be introduced, the décor to be updated plus the expansion of the eating area, which can now cater for 70 guests.
