A LEADING Northern Ireland events expert has launched a new business to respond to the growing demand for fresh and innovative events.

Weir Events (www.weirevents.co.uk), spearheaded by Sarah Weir, was launched this week at an event in the Penthouse Suite of the Europa Hotel attended by more than 100 guests from the finance, legal, hospitality, travel & tourism, entertainment and sporting industries.

Hosted by UTV presenter Pamela Ballantine, the launch showcased some of Weir Events’ key suppliers including Saville Audio Visual, Colin Parker Design, SBD and Jawbox Gin.

Ms Weir said: “I have over 13 years’ experience and have managed some of the most prestigious events in Northern Ireland for a broad range of corporate and consumer clients.

“I have organised events of all shapes and sizes, from classic black-tie dinners to the launch of a mountain top wind farm in County Tyrone.

"For more than a decade I have cemented relationships with the top local suppliers in the industry from audio visual to lighting, venue selection to catering and room dressing to entertainment and these partnerships will ensure the clients of Weir Events will receive a first-class service every time.”

Sarah was the senior events consultant for Belfast-based communications agency JComms for 12 years and most recently was events manager for the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Her unrivalled experience has seen her organise intimate corporate dinners, company launches and high-profile awards ceremonies attended by up to 1,000 guests.

“Great events create an experience and can help realise a client’s vision, bringing their brand to life and ultimately ensuring guests are impacted by the event production," she said.
