NI Chamber President's Banquet revs into action with ex-Top Gear presenter Hammond
RICHARD Hammond, famed as one of the presenters on Amazon’s The Grand Tour, has been confirmed as the guest speaker for the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s annual President’s Banquet in Belfast in November.
The dinner, which is billed as a celebration of “engineering in motion”, will celebrate the north’s engineering prowess at Belfast Waterfront on 16 November 2017.
Hammond, who is also best known for co-hosting the BBC2 car programme Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson and James May, will provide the after dinner keynote speech.
In addition, he is known for presenting a variety of science and entertainment programmes including Brainiac: Science Abuse, Total Wipeout and Planet Earth Live.
He presented a documentary series, Richard Hammond’s Engineering Connections, originally broadcast on the National Geographic Channel and later on BBC2 which looks at how engineers and designers use historic inventions and clues from the natural world in ingenious ways to develop new buildings and machines.
More than 800 guests are expected to attend the Chamber’s gala event, which is a highlight of the business calendar every year.
The event (booking details at northernirelandchamber.com) is supported by NI Chamber’s Communications Partner BT and supporting sponsors Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council and Tughans.
