BELFAST-based Northside Graphics has invested £260,000 into a new digital printer it hopes will increase annual turnover by 20 per cent.

The fastest growing HP indigo digital printing company across the UK and Ireland, Northside is using a business loan from HSBC to fund the expansion, which will install a fourth press at the firm's premises in Roundtower Industrial Estate.

The increased capacity of the company has recently seen it delve into new markets in France, Holland and Norway, doubling its workforce and recording annual turnover of £4.5 million. As a result of the latest investment Northside expects to employ additional staff in the next two years and expand into new international markets.

Company director, Gary White said: “This is an exciting time for Northside Graphics as we see our customer base continue to grow and we begin to establish an international footprint.”

Operating in Northern Ireland for 30 years Northside has recently been shortlisted in the SME of the Year Award category in the UK-wide Print Week Awards.
