THE Exact Group, a family of manufacturing and engineering companies based in Newry, is hiring graduate and time-served engineers, placements, all-level apprentices and others eager to learn.

And it is hosting an open day this Saturday to give prospective job candidates a flavour of what they do.

The event is open to school leavers, engineering apprentices, graduate and time served engineers and also for engineering placements/ 'year outs' and anyone interested in seeing if mechanical engineering is for them.

A range of full-time jobs is currently available at Exact for motivated graduate and time-served engineers who wish to further their engineering careers.

The company also offers opportunities for engineering placements and 'year outs' for selected students as well as multiple apprenticeships with fully accredited mechanical/ manufacturing engineering qualifications.

Additionally, they seek workers, no matter what their ages or experience levels, with a can-do attitude, a willingness to learn the skills required to become an engineer in this rapidly growing industry, and to assist a fast-moving dedicated team in the company's thriving workshops.

The Exact Group is made up of:

:: Exact Engineering and Fabrication, servicing a range of high-end companies. Main outputs include static and dynamic productions lines for the aerospace industry, and complex fabrications for cruise liners/rail transport/ gas testing/wind energy markets.

:: Exact CNC, which utilises highly-skilled programmers using the latest in CAD/CAM software and high speed machines to produce the most intricate of parts. Ideal for both large production batches and one-off runs, they run three and five-axis milling centres, CNC lathes, and up to nine-axis mill-turns. They specialise in 3D milling and can offer a full design facility if required, with the ability to produce 3D working drawings from a simple sketch or sample part. It has more than 40 employees.

:: Exact Composites, which offers a range of services to the aerospace industry including composite trim, composite preparation, composite finishings and lay-up tooling.
