AN award-winning Belfast based digital technology firm has grown its UK client base by 50 per cent through a new merger.

Digital agency Flint Studios has established a presence in Great Britain after agreeing a merger with Cheshire-based Link Information Technology Ltd, a specialist provider of web solutions.

One of the UK and Ireland's fastest growing technology companies Flint, who this week were crowned Digital Company of the Year at the Digital DNA Awards in Belfast, said the merger will expand its web development capabilities whilst immediately increasing its client base by approximately 50 per cent.

The company, which recently won a major contract ahead of European rivals for the global cyber security and privacy company F-Secure Corporation specialises in web development, design, hosting and digital marketing.

Flint managing director Jeremy Biggerstaff said the merger will compliment existing operations on the Ravenhill Road in Belfast

“It brings together two established web service companies to create a team of 30 experienced professionals, supporting clients across the UK and Ireland," he said.

“Our collective focus now is to further expand our presence in Great Britain, and indeed Europe, across the sectors where our strengths prevail.”

Rob Antrobus, director at Link Information Technology added:

“Merging with Flint Studios and working together alongside its strong team makes us a much stronger entity with a wider range of capabilities and expertise to deliver on behalf of clients and continue to exceed expectations time and time again.”

The two firm's combined client base includes Plimsoll Publishing, Mary Peters Trust, Berlin Clothing, Survitec Group, STFC, and digitalprinting.co.uk
