A GROWING international healthy fast food chain has announced plans to open 10 outlets in the north creating over 100 jobs.

Global restaurant brand Freshii has just opened its first outlet in Northern Ireland at Donegall Square West in Belfast city centre, with nine more set to follow in shopping centres and major towns across the region as part of the expansion.

The chain's next outlet will open "very soon" in Callender Street, with the third confirmed restaurant to open in the The Quays Shopping Centre, Newry during the summer.

Already the company has a strong presence in the Republic with three restaurants in Dublin city and one located at the M1 Applegreen service station at Lusk.

Freshii is one of the fast-growing restaurant brands in the world, serving a healthy and customisable menu built around high-quality fresh ingredients and to date has over 300 stores located across 85 cities in 20 countries.

The healthy eatery offers a diverse menu including breakfast, tossed salads, hot bowls, burritos, healthy wraps, soups, fresh pressed juices, smoothies and frozen yogurt and its mission is to make clean eating both approachable and flavourful.

Dave O'Donoghue, CEO of Freshii Ireland said the company was "really excited" about the expansion in the north.
