ACCOUNTANCY firm Harbinson Mullholland is creating a new platform for the next generation of family business entrepreneurs to connect and learn for the first time in Northern Ireland called ‘The Next Gen Network’.

The event will take place at the NI Family Business Forum tomorrow at the Malone Lodge Hotel in Belfast and provides the opportunity for the next generation of business owners, whether working with the family or not, to come and enjoy networking with others in an informal environment with likeminded people.

The forum will feature workshops and lectures as well as provide an opportunity to hear stories and benefit from the experience of local family business owners, such as Simon Hunter of Hunter Apparel Solutions and Paul Black of Alpha Group, to name a few.

Darren McDowell, partner at Harbinson Mullholland, says: "Whist our Family Business Forum is growing rapidly, we noticed that the ‘next gen’ topics were increasingly getting more and more traction. This is why we’ve decided to add in a brand new platform, exclusively open to the next generation of businesses owners so that they can work together, support and share ideas with each other in a private, friendly and social setting.

“What continues to make family businesses so influential is the fresh perspective of each generation and this is exactly what we hope this new platform will harness and nurture."
