Staffline acquires Cork-based Oak Recruitment
RECRUITMENT firm Staffline Ireland has made its fourth key acquisition in just two years after snapping up Oak Recruitment in the Republic.
The move will help accelerate annual turnover at the Staffline group - whose other businesses include PeoplePlus NI and Diamond Recruitment - to around £65 million.
And it continues the company's long-held ambition to become the sector-leading outsource company across the island of Ireland.
Oak Recruitment, which has operations in Cork, Dublin and Limerick, specialises in temporary recruitment and staffing solutions, with expertise in a number of Staffline’s core business sectors, including fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and food distribution.
Oak also brings with it a number of blue-chip clients based in Cork and Dublin.
Staffline Group Ireland’s enlarged staffing services division is among the three largest recruitment businesses in Ireland and will now operate from 15 sites across the island, with more than 6,000 contractors servicing a network of hundreds of clients.
Its group managing director Tina McKenzie said: “Following a year of significant organic growth, welcoming Oak Recruitment to the Staffline Group is an exciting step on our journey to becoming the sector-leading outsource company in Ireland.
With Oak’s owner and managing director Shane Hanrahan joining us as our managing director for staffing services in the Republic of Ireland, Staffline will also be in a better position to service our clients with large-scale cross-border operations, with staffing expertise available across the island from Belfast to Cork.”
Mr Hanrahan said: “Oak Recruitment are delighted to join the Staffline Group, solidifying our position as a recruiter of choice for employers in Cork and Dublin.
"Our clients and contractors will continue to benefit from Oak’s expert service delivered with professionalism at the forefront, now combined with Staffline’s scale and reach across the island of Ireland.”
Staffline began operations in Ireland in 2010 at the request of key clients, and in 2013 opened offices in Belfast and Dublin.
